Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel’s price tag for Trevor Chalobah is staggering.

However, in the case of Chalobah, the likelihood of him establishing himself as a first-choice center back is very low. Even if the team were to switch to a three-back formation, Chalobah would be the fourth center back. With Kim Min-jae, Dayo Upamecano, and Matthijs de Ligt on the bench, that means he’ll be spending a lot of time on the bench.
